AD awards acknowledge biogas innovators

The recent AD & Biogas Industry Awards Ceremony 2018 saw 16 companies acknowledged for innovations in the AD sector. Recognising these efforts is a very positive initiative to showcase successful practices and promote the development of the sector.

The awards were presented at a formal event at the end of the first day of the UK AD & World Biogas Expo 2018 in Birmingham, hosted by the UK Anaerobic Digestion & Bioresources Association (ADBA), and the World Biogas Association (WBA). Susanna Pflüger, Secretary General of EBA, was invited to speak at one of the conference round tables, dedicated to global anaerobic digestion growth.Among the different award categories this year were Making the Most of Biogas, won by Greenville Bio-LNG plant, Best Innovation in Biomethane, rewarded to Portsdown Hill: The Remote Grid Entry Hub C, or the Research Project Award, that was handed out to The Exergyn Drive.

The AD & Biogas Industry Awards is a competition run by the AD & Bioresources Association (ADBA) that promotes and recognises excellence in the international anaerobic digestion (AD) and biogas industry. The awards also offer AD organisations the opportunity to showcase innovation excellence to the wider market.
