Biogas Action releases a new online toolbox focusing on successful biogas installations in Europe

As part of the EU project Biogas Action, a new online toolbox was made available for users to explore successful biogas installations across Europe. The toolbox also allows to navigate through the extensive Biogas Action database, providing existing tools and guidelines for biogas promotion in Europe in order to boost the development of operating biogas plants or to find answers for planned biogas projects.

Find your optimal biogas project set-up

The new toolbox was made available for users to explore successful biogas installations across Europe and find the perfect match for their own local conditions. Navigation is made easy through filters allowing the screening of the installations based on substrate use, output type and received support.

An extensive profile is available for each biogas installation, including exclusive information related to their background story, regional integration, financial conditions, output/use of products and technical data. Information about the legal background of 30 European countries and their influence on the development of the national biogas industry, along with NREAP targets tracking, are also integrated in the toolbox. Discover the toolbox here.

For more information about national legislations and industry development, please consult the Biogas Action deliverable 2.3 and the European Biogas Association Statistical Report 2017.

Discover the best-fitting tools available to develop your project

The other function of the toolbox is to display the extensive Biogas Action database, providing existing tools and guidelines for biogas promotion in Europe to boost the development of your operating biogas plant or to find answers for your planned biogas project.

Users can navigate using numerous filters such as language, substrate, output, type of support and plant size, and find additional information and explanations (policy, technical, market, training and education) suitable for their expected application. The tools available include EU projects, national and regional projects, success stories, policy/legislation documents, maps, software, videos and more.
