EBA contributes to two public consultations on circular economy
EBA sent its contribution to the European Commission’s public consultation on the Circular Economy and is currently drafting a response for the open consultation on Waste Markets.
The European Commission is gathering information from stakeholders by holding open public consultations ahead of proposing a new Circular Economy Package. EBA has sent its contribution to the Circular Economy consultation that closed on the 20th of August. EBA’s contribution stressed the importance of including organic fertilisers within the Fertilisers Regulation in order to create a market for Digestate. Currently, EBA is working on a response for the Waste Markets consultation which focuses on the EU’s waste legislation, particularly on revising the Waste Framework Directive. The consultation closes on the 4th of September.
