France: MT-Energie’s second biomethane plant with grid injection

This September the plant of O’Terres Energies opened in Ussy-sur-Marne. This installation was built by MT-Energie France, its second facility of this kind, and it is connected to the natural gas grid.

The substrate comes exclusively from catch crops and the biomethane output is of 250 Nm3/h, which is injected into the grid by Gaz réseau Distribution France (GrDF). The farmer who supplies the substrate was supported with technical information and know-how linked to catch crops by the consultant Artaim Conseil. He then uses the digestate produced by the biogas plant as organic fertiliser.
