Joint EBA event – “R-Gas: The (R)evolution to a Sustainable Energy System”

The workshop will take place on 13 June in Brussels. It aims at raising awareness on the importance of renewable gas in Europe.

As part of the European Energy Days, EBA, CEDEC, Eurogas, Gas Infrastructure Europe, GEODE, GERG, Hydrogen Europe, Marcogaz and NGVA Europe are organising a joint event in Brussels under the heading: “R-Gas: The (R)evolution to a Sustainable Energy System”. It will take place between 9:30 am and 12:00 am on the 13th of June in Brussels, Belgium.

In the context of a current debate surrounding the Renewable Energy Directive, the aim of the workshop is to raise awareness of the importance of renewable gas and secure a deeper understanding on the central role of gaseous energy in a long term viable and sustainable energy system. Among the speakers, two EBA experts will be presenting the position of the association on the revision of the Renewable Energy Directive and a technical overview on gasification from biomass sources.

This event will also demonstrate the broad support of the natural gas and gas infrastructure industry for sustainable renewable solutions.

The programme of the workshop is available here.
