LignoSys project is extended until June 2018

The LignoSys project is directed towards biomethane production based on lignocellulosic feedstock. It will run until 30 June 2018.

The project concerns biomethane production of lignocellulosic feedstock by small scale thermochemical conversion as well as anaerobic digestion. It has received public funding from the Swedish Energy Agency. Dr. Jörgen Held, CEO, of Renewable Energy Technology International AB, is coordinating the project.

The upgrading will be based on amine scrubbing. The battery limits have been collected for the Heatpipe Reformer and the WoodRoll® system.

Puregas Solutions, a Swedish supplier of amine scrubbers, has made the interface (gasifier system and amine scrubber) calculations.

The system study of these two systems is ongoing.

General data on the PyroCatalytic Hydrogenation (G4 Insights) has been collected.

The installation of the lab scale Heatpipe Reformer at Danish Gas Technology Centre (DGC), for tests with yellow straw, is scheduled to the end of this month.
