Malmberg Biogas facilities approach 100% production in Finland

Two Malmberg Compact® biogas upgrading units in Finland achieved nearly 100% production capacity since going into operation.

The plants in Suomenoja and Kujala, Finland, operated at 98.8% and 98.3% respectively over the past two years, including downtime for maintenance. Gasum is the owner of the plants.

Malmberg highlights that the plant in Kujala has the capacity enough to cover the annual energy consumption of 140 buses, 4,500 cars or 2,000 detached houses, and at the same time taking care of a waste problem. According to malmberg, it is an example of green and circular economy working at its best.
