New NGF Nature Energy biogas plant planned in Denmark

The planned biogas plant being developed by NGF Nature Energy would produce around 16 million cubic metres of biogas annually.

The municipality of Sonderborg is holding a series of events to give information about a planned biogas plant being developed by NGF Nature Energy.

The facility, which is being considered for Glansager because it is close to farms, would process about 600,000 tonnes of manure and produce  about 16 million cubic metres biogas annually.

The municipality says it considers biogas an important factor “in our efforts to become a CO2 neutral territory in 2029″.

An alternative location in Blans is also being considered, but the location is further away from sources of manure, according to the municipality.

consultation into the project runs until 9 June.
