Register now for the EBA Conference!

The upcoming EBA Conference is taking place on 27-29 September, in Ghent, Belgium

As the date becomes closer, more speakers have confirmed their participation at the upcoming EBA Conference. The high-level line-up is going to include Vice-President of the European Commission Jirky Katainen, Director of the European Commission DG Energy Marie Donnelly, and Eric Liégeois from the European Commission. The academia will be well-represented thanks to the contributions by Dr. Bruce Dale from the Michigan State University and Prof. Erik Meers from the University of Ghent, among others. Emiliano Bruni from Schaumann BioEnergy Consult and Zoltan Elek, Founder and Managing Director of Landwärme GmbH, have also confirmed their presence in a programme moderated by Christoph Maria Ravesloot.

The first draft of the Conference agenda is now available at the Conference website. Access it here to learn more about the Conference and register.

The Conference will also include an exhibion and poster session running parallel to the agenda. The call for papers ended March 31 and the Scientific Advisory Council (SAC) is currently evaluating all proposals and will inform presenters shortly. It is still possible, however, to submit contributions for poster presentation on any of the conference topics: biogas and syngas production, biomethane production, circular economy, sustainable raw materials, digestate, biorefineries and future markets. Deadline for poster submission is June 30. The best poster will be awarded at a small ceremony taking place during the Conference.

All conference participants, including paper and poster presenters, are also invited to provide an abstract or article on one of the conference topics. After approval by the Scientific Advisory Council these articles will be included in ‘Communications in Agricultural and Applied Biological Sciences’, a publication from Ghent University of which all contributors will receive a free copy.
