Sweden: 3rd IBBA Workshop 2015 coming soon

This event will take place in the Vellinge region on 9th-10th September.

Every year, the Inter Baltic Biogas Arena (IBBA) organises a workshop within a specific topic in the biogas field. The purpose of the workshop is to support networking between researchers within the same field in the Baltic region. This year’s topic is the pretreatment of lignocelllulosic substrates.

Straw and other lignocellulosic substrates constitute a large part of the European biogas potential. These substrates are difficult to digest without a suitable pretreatment method that increase the methane yield and decrease the required retention time in the digester.

This workshop is organised by Energiforsk – The Swedish Energy Research Centre (formerly SGC, Swedish Gas Technology Centre), and co-hosted by EBA Members DBFZ (Deutsches Biomasseforschungszentrum) and Institut fur Biogas – Frank Scholwin.

This year’s edition invites all participants to meet up with more than 45 European biogas experts from academy and industry, while enjoying the food and ambiance of the country life of Southern Sweden at the Ängavallen conference centre, close to Malmö and the CPH airport.

A few places are still available, but please note that registration closes on 4th September.
