Gustavo Mattos

With over 20 years of multidisciplinary background in financial management, project leadership, and international development, Gustavo is currently leading strategic financial operations at EBA.

Prior to EBA, Gustavo held leadership positions at public and nonprofit sectors, managing multimillion-euro budgets across complex humanitarian missions in over a dozen countries. His career also includes roles in government, international education, and strategic consultancy, with strong focus on operational excellence with cross-cultural teams.

Gustavo holds a degree in Naval Science with Electronic Engineering from the Brazilian Naval Academy and a Master’s degree in International Relations from King’s College London. He is currently pursuing an Executive MBA at Vlerick Business School, focusing on sustainable finance, strategy, and innovation. A dual Belgian-Brazilian national, Gustavo speaks Portuguese, English, French, and Spanish.
