ALFA – Final Event & Policy Roundtable
25.09.2025The event will be structured into two different sections:
- Final Dissemination Event: showcasing ALFA’s key results, digital tools, hubs experiences, panel discussions on lessons learned.
- Policy Roundtable: foster dialogue to co-create meaningful policy recommendations shaping future policy pathways that can help mainstream the uptake of biogas systems in livestock farming.
About the project. ALFA is an EU-funded project that aims at enhancing the uptake of biogas in livestock farming by providing farmers and other relevant stakeholders with a series of demand-driven business and technical support services, as well as organising webinars, seminars, networking events, site visits and awareness-raising campaigns. ALFA has implemented its activities across six EU countries (Belgium, Denmark, Greece, Italy, Slovakia, and Spain). The project has also conducted research to define local framework conditions and uncover challenges and has developed a platform of tools to facilitate collaboration among industry actors and to help estimate a farm’s biogas production potential, together with its prospect of profit as well as environmental and social impacts. To conclude all its work, the project will develop policy recommendations and a replication guide.
