At a time of continued geopolitical instability and renewed urgency around Europe’s energy security, biomethane has become more than a renewable gas: it is a strategic tool for strengthening Europe’s energy independence. European Commission continues to underline the need to accelerate domestic, renewable and sustainable energy production. In this context, biomethane offers a practical pathway to reduce fossil gas dependence, reinforce local energy systems, and support Europe’s climate and competitiveness objectives.
