RESkill4NetZero

Addressing the Skilled Labor Shortage in Renewable Energy
Project duration: December 2024 – November 2028
The RESkill4NetZero project, funded by the European Union through the Erasmus Plus program for education and training, aims to address the skilled labor force shortage in the renewable energy industries. This four-year initiative will focus on creating and testing an EU-wide scalable blueprint for critical job profiles, particularly high-demand technical and engineering roles that require common skills and competencies across most renewable energy sectors, including green, digital, and safety-related skills.
The project’s objectives are to:
- Establish a clearly defined Skills Strategy for these specific high-demand roles in the renewables sector.
- Develop and test a vocational education and training (VET) program with modular and flexible courses to enable workers to acquire these skills.
- Offer certification recognized by the EU that confirms the required skills and competencies have been acquired at a satisfactory level.
The RESkill4NetZero project is designed to support the Renewable Energy Skills Partnership in identifying the necessary skills measures to achieve our climate and energy security goals.
