Fiorella Cruz

Fiorella Cruz is a Policy Officer at the European Biogas Association (EBA). She joined EBA in 2023 and supports the organisation of the European Biomethane Week and its flagship event, the European Biogas Conference. In her role, she works on key EU policy files, including the EU Climate Law, ETS I and II, EU Taxonomy, CBAM, the Energy Taxation Directive, State aid rules, permitting, and the Industrial Accelerator Act. She also provides policy support to EBA’s Sustainability and Competitiveness Working Group, contributing to briefings, position papers, and stakeholder inputs.

Prior to joining EBA, Fiorella worked in fields related to European affairs, energy, and sustainability. She holds an LL.M. in International Law, with a specialisation in Human Rights and Environmental Law, from the Université libre de Bruxelles. She also holds a Master of Arts in Public International Affairs from LUISS University in Rome and a Bachelor’s degree in Law from Universidad del Norte in Colombia.
