Upcoming EBA events: FABbiogas Final Conference & Biomethane Workshop

EBA is organising two events taking place in Brussels in early September.

On 2 September, the FABbiogas Project will hold its Final Conference at the historical Royal Flemish Academy of Belgium for Sciences and Arts (which co-organises the event). Since its introduction in 2013, the EU co-funded project aims at changing the mindsets of all stakeholders in the waste-to-energy chain by promoting residues from the food and beverages (FAB) industries as a new and renewable energy source for biogas production. The Final Conference will tackle issues such as an overview of biogas production and potential of FAB industries, the national situation of the participating countries and the presentation of evaluation tools and feasibility studies.

On 3 September, EBA’s Workshop “Future of biomethane production – will cross-border trade be feasible?” will reflect on the different pathways towards biomethane production, its prospects as biofuel in transportations and cross-border trade-related issues. Taking place at the Renewable Energy House, participants can register for a fee of €50 in order to cover organisational expenses. EBA Members can benefit from a reduced fee of €25 and are invited to join a Policy Meeting right after the Workshop.
