Belgium: Competition on Innovation in manure processing

The Flemish Coordination Centre for Manure Processing or VCM (Belgium) organizes the second edition of the ‘Ivan Tolpe’ Award.

Every two years the “Ivan Tolpe” Award is organised by the Flemish Coordination Centre for Manure Processing with the goal of developing and supporting innovative, promising techniques which are contributing the processing of manure in a more sustainable and cost-efficient way.

This year all ideas form outside Flanders are welcome as well as long as the concept can be applicable in the Flemish context. The proposals should be dealing with a demand-driven problem form the sector (process optimisation, energy efficiency, optimal valorisation of the nutrients present in manure, etc.). The winner will receive the “Ivan Tolpe” Award of €2,000 as well as the possibility to elaborate the project during the third international “Manuresource” conference which will take place in 2017 and the free participation in the event. The application deadline is 28th of October 2016.
