Biogest AG: Waste Water Treatment Plant for Central Mexico

Biogest AG was awarded with the contract of the complete technical equipment for a waste water treatment plant project in the Central Mexico.

The WWTP is a fully biological WWTP following the so-called “Sequencing Batch Reactor” – (SBR) process which was designed according to the latest technology and specially with respect to on site hydraulic peak loads and alternating organic loads.

The WWTP is designed to treat waste water for approx. 400,000 per with daily intake of 60,000 m³/d at final stage.

Biogest was involved in the design phase for the mechanical equipment and control system of the SBR WWTP. Furthermore the company delivers the entire technical and electrical equipment like the flow regulation type EGAR at the inlet, the mechanical pretreatment including a grit treatment, the waste water distribution unit, surface aerators, sludge pumps, clear water decanting system, UV-disinfection and the appropriate control panels with visualization of the equipment.

In addition to that Biogest is fully responsible for the correct installation and commissioning of the WWTP together with training of the operating staff. The new WWTP is a major step forward for clean water for the region.
