EU Energy Union Tour continues in September
EBA encourages all its members and other partners to participate in his visits in order to demonstrate the important role of biogas and biomethane in the Energy Union: energy self-sufficiency, decarbonised transport, diversified gas supply, resource efficiency, sustainable bioenergy, etc.!
The European Commission’s Vice-President Maroš Šefčovič has been on his Energy Union Tour since May 2015. Through these country visits, the Commission aims to engage in an intensive dialogue with local governments as well as relevant stakeholders, including business communities. Vice-President Šefčovič will present the opportunities that Energy Union will bring to each country and will discuss the challenges that have to be addressed to implement the Energy Union Strategy and the specific situation of each Member State. Based on the outcomes of this tour, the Commission will prepare recommendations on how national energy and climate plans should look like.
