The innovate initiative was finally established at the European Biogas Association Conference, recently held in Ghent. The European Renewable Gas Registry counts nine partners form eight countries. Mr Attila Kovacs explained: ‘The European Renewable Gas Registry has a main function of enabling the usage of the European natural gas network for the distribution of the product.’

The whole initiative is closely connected to the national registers and the idea is to build the network of national registries, relying on the already existing information. So far eight European countries have already agreed, but there is still a long way to go.
