Evonik: International conference “Biomethane as Fuel”

There are many reasons for using biomethane for vehicle fleets and agricultural equipment, especially when biomass can be obtained from waste materials such as sewage sludge, wastewater, or plant waste — a win-win situation for equipment manufacturers, suppliers, and, of course, the end user.

So why is biomethane still a niche product on the fuel market? Have any best practice examples emerged to date? And what are the political (and economic) road blocks?

Representatives from industry and politics will be on hand for the one and a half days of the conference to discuss and respond to these and many other questions.
As conference host, Evonik will bring together experts from every link in the value-added chain. Presentations will be given by speakers from Germany, the United Kingdom, Sweden, the United States, and Asia. The conference is supported by

  • Biogasrat+ e.V.
  • Fachverband Biogas e.V. (the German Biogas Association)
  • The German Energy Agency (dena) – the Biogas Partner Project

The event will take place on 29 and 30 September at the Asutrian embassy in Berlin. Read the full description and agenda here.
