Germany: dena presents new Biomethane Industry Barometer

The industry barometer provides information on current developments on the biomethane market.

This edition focuses on the effects of the 2014 Amendment to the Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG). The 2014 Amendment to the Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG) has changed the framework conditions for the biomethane industry significantly. In particular, the number of biomethane combined heat and power plants has increased sharply to roughly 1,500, increasing the marketing of biomethane under the EEG considerably. The rising demand for biomethane from other countries and in the chemical industry is also interesting.

In addition to this, the industry barometer contains 14 pages of forecasts on biogas feed-in, facts on the development of raw material use and estimates on the development of the biomethane markets and prices in 2016.

dena has been publishing the Biomethane Industry Barometer since 2012. The contents are compiled using questionnaires, interviews and desktop research in relevant third-party publications.
