Italy: FIAT is ready for the biomethane challenge
The production is ready for biomethane but the distribution network is not.
The FCA Group has been investing in natural gas transportation for more than 15 years, boasting a wide range of cars and light commercial vehicles, for a market with an annual value of 70-75 thousand units. The whole production can already be supplied with either natural gas or biomethane. The big problem, for both types of fuel, remains the distribution network, which even though it has experienced significant growth in recent years, is not yet as widespread.
