National Renewable Energy Action Plan 2020 adopted in Croatia

Currently at 15.1%, renewables will have to meet 20% of the primary energy consumption by 2020

The repartition goes as follows: 79.6 % large and small hydro, 10.5% wind, 8.3% biomass, 0.9% geothermal and 0.7% solar power plants.

According to the Plan, biogas plants will reach a total installed capacity of 40MW and generate 260 GWh for electricity purposes. In transport, biomethane will start being produced in 2016 to meet 0.32% of fuel demand in transports.
