35 filling stations now offer biomethane throughout California

First-mover Clean Energy plans to deliver 55 million m³ of biomethane in its first year of operations.

Los Angeles based Clean Energy announced plans to produce and distribute 15 million gallons (approx. 55 million m³) of “Redeem” biomethane in its first year. Already the largest CNG and LNG supplier in North America, the company operates more than 350 filling stations serving a fleet of 30,000 vehicles. The company already has three biomethane production facilities on landfill sites in Texas, Michigan and Tennessee and it plans new openings to support the growth of its new business. California Air Resource Board praised the initiative for not only delivering a cleaner air to Californians but also providing them a cost-effective alternative to fossil fuels.
