The Excrement Museum: manure and digestate as a form of art and life cycle
Can excrement be considered a respectable material?
Most definitely, as proven by the Museum of Shit, an innovative and novel project organised by Mr Locatelli, owner of the farm Azienda Agricola of Castlebosco. Housed within the walls of a Late Medieval castle, the museum exhibits several works that appreciate manure in all of its different forms. Thanks to this very material it is in fact possible to produce methane, natural fertilizer of soils, and raw material for plaster and brick. A true resource that is completely worth making the subject of a museum.
